I met a trans elder yesterday who is a spiritual healer at a temple - unflinchingly devout and if you see her in the state of divine esctasy you'd be scared for your life if you were an evil spirit.

    At night she's a sex worker. Her community accepts this, it's able to see the compartments. When she goes to the temple, she has her community behind her, no one dare disrespect this woman of God.

     

     But at night, she goes alone. This too is life, this too is joy, this too is performance
